Flint Unix/Linux FAQs Last update: 18-Feb-08 --------------------- Installation/Un-installation Q: How do I uninstall it? A: The process is manual with two steps. Assuming you installed to /usr/local/cleanscape: Remove directory /usr/local/cleanscape/flintgui.dir Remove file /usr/local/cleanscape/flintgui Cleanscape GUI Q: I use Kwrite as my editor. I used seteditor to load Kwrite into the Cleanscape GUI. It starts and runs fine, but when I click on a link, the file opens up at (line+1). What gives? A: Apparently, Kwrite starts numbering lines at 0, unlike any other editor we have tested. If you use an editor that operates in this fashion, please email us. Command Line Q: There's no Xlint in my distro! What happened? A: As of February 2008, Xlint is being deprecated in favor of the Flint GUI, which now has all the functionality of Xlint. A compatible version is available for download as a ZIPfile from a link on the download page for your OS. Unzip it into the same directory containing the flint executable (probably $FLINTHOME) and email your server code and Xlint key request to support@cleanscape.net. Xlint will continue to be supported through at least February 2009. CONTACT US AT support@cleanscape.net
